Under the leadership of Sarah Morris, Research and Instruction Librarian at the Skillman Library, the 2016 Lafayette College Digital Humanities Summer Scholars undertook independent research projects on such topics as Iranian statecraft, Soviet monument culture in Bulgaria, the misunderstood Moog synthesizer, and histories of Indian Ocean trade and migration.

Michaela Kelly, Skillman's 2016-2017 Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Digital Humanities, gave a presentation about the East Asia Image Collection at the European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists Conference.

After filing a complaint against a publisher of online journals for deceptive practices, the Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning to academics and researchers about predatory journal publishers. Lafayette librarians are available to help you investigate any publishers you are unfamiliar with before you submit materials to them.
