Q: What motivated you to apply for an information literacy grant for ART206 Materials and Methods?

Following up on our article about using Artemis Primary Sources to formulate a research question about Essence of Anchovies, Skillman Library's next installment uses Interlibrary Loan to track down sources about a smoking chimpanzee.

Information literacy "is much more than just how to use the library to discover things about the art. It has a lot more to do with helping students become independent and lifelong learners." A full version of the interview is now available.

Since its launch in 2007, the East Asia Image Collection (EAIC) has garnered international attention with its open access collection of over 5000 postcards, photographs and ephemera tracing the visual history of the Japanese Empire.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that the new “Leslie Knope Library” is actually Skillman Library. During Tuesday night’s series finale of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, the Library’s image was used in honor of the show’s main character, played by Amy Poehler.
