About RefWorks

Lafayette students, faculty, and staff have access to RefWorks, a tool for managing bibliographic references and creating bibliographies in a wide variety of formats.

RefWorks is a Web-based bibliographic management application similar in functionality to EndNote, Mendeley, and Zotero. It allows users to create their own database of references by importing them directly from other library resources, uploading them using filters available for many library indexes and databases, or by entering information manually. Users can also convert data created in other bibliographic management applications for import into RefWorks. These references can then be edited, organized into folders, sorted, and searched in a variety of ways. Users can easily automate the creation of bibliographies using all or some of the references in their database by choosing from an extensive list of bibliographic styles or by creating a custom style.
