2019 Digital Humanities Summer Scholars Milena Berestko ’22, Bec Stargel ’20, and Aidy Ung ’21 presented their digital research projects at the Bucknell University Digital Scholarship Conference in Lewisburg, PA on Sunday, October 13 at 8:30 am. Milena presented “The Mosaic of Romani World,” which chronicles the journey of Roma people to Eastern Europe. Bec presented their “Defining Transgender” project, which focuses on the LGBTQ+ community and language through an examination of the history and changing use of the term “transgender.” Aidy presented her contemplation of “Hindu-Buddhist Architecture in Angkor City,” an analysis of Neak Pean temple located in what is now the country of Cambodia. Their presentations were followed by a Q&A where they received a great response and interest in learning more about their projects and their experience in the DHSS program.
