The Libraries have purchased Cold War Intelligence, a collection of over 2,300 declassified government documents detailing the actions of U.S. intelligence services relating to the Soviet Union. The database compiles memos, reports, speeches, and studies covering some of the most important figures and events of the Cold War. The documents are primarily from U.S. government agencies such as the CIA, NARA, the Library of Congress, and several Presidential Libraries, but material from the National Archives of the United Kingdom concerning joint U.S.-British initiatives is also included.
