Students, employees, and faculty retirees of Lafayette College may submit requests for materials unavailable in Skillman and Kirby Libraries. Use the forms in the ILL system, or send an order directly from the library’s electronic databases, such as WorldCat and other periodical databases, using the Full Text Finder feature. Just look for a link to “Lafayette Full Text Finder” or the Full Text Finder icon:

Document Delivery for faculty, staff & students

Journal articles and book chapters from Lafayette-owned materials can be scanned and delivered as PDFs to your ILL account. After logging into the interlibrary loan system, use the “Document Delivery Request” option on the main page. Requests should be filled within 2 to 4 days. Due to copyright restrictions, requests for document delivery should be limited to items needed for private study, scholarship, or research. The Library makes e-reserves available under the provisions of §107 of the Copyright Act of 1976 (fair use). The determination regarding how much of a work may be used is made by evaluating all four of the fair use factors.

Requesting renewals

To request renewals for materials borrowed via interlibrary loan, log on to the interlibrary loan system and select the link to “View/Renew Checked Out Items.”

Mailing materials

If you would like your ILL request mailed to you, please indicate this in the notes field and include your mailing address. Your item can be mailed to your on campus address or to your home address.
