Zotero was recently made aware of a programming issue that caused some websites to reload constantly, potentially resulting in mass download events on some publishers’ websites. Zotero has released an update to their browser connector that resolves this issue.
To ensure you are on the most up-to-date version of the browser connector, please follow these steps:
1. Right-click on the Zotero icon in your browser extensions panel (typically in the top-right of your browser window)
2. Choose “Manage Extension”
3. Check the “Version” number (typically listed near the top of the page. This version should be 5.0.106 or above.
4. If your version is 5.0.105 or below, quit your browser and then restart it. Follow steps 1-3. You should now be on the most recent version of the Zotero connector.
