SIPRI Databases

A set of databases covering international conflict and peacekeeping. Includes summaries of conflicts and data on military expenditures, arms production, and nuclear capabilities. From the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).


Slave Voyages

Detailed data on slaving voyages from the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database and the Intra-American Slave Trade Database. Also includes the African Names Database, which provides details of Africans taken from captured slave ships or from African trading sites, and a database of images relating to the slave trade.


Social Explorer

Sound clips and phonetic transcriptions are typically available. Useful for actors who need to learn an accent.
