An Exploration of Self and Form: A Ceramics Exhibition by Chris Nappo ‘27

Through Spring 2024 (March – May) the Simon Reading Room will be featuring its first ever student exhibition titled “An Exploration of Self and Form,” a ceramics exhibition by Chris Nappo ‘27. In this exhibition, Nappo shares his making story, complimenting his wheel thrown pottery with sketches, photos of inspiration and making philosophies. Made possible in part through the support of the Maggin Family Creative and Performing Arts Initiative. 

An opening reception will be held in the Simon Room on March 1st at 5:30pm; refreshments will be provided.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

“These pots represent the maturation of both myself and my ceramic forms; they vocalize and juxtapose the constraints of high school with the newfound freedoms of college. This body of work depicts my framework, a refining of my fundamentals and a journey into an exciting new chapter of my life.”
