New Digital Archive for Global Trade Primary Source Research

The Libraries have purchased Global Commodities, a digital archive that allows users to research the international history of 15 major goods: chocolate, coffee, cotton, fur, energy, opium, porcelain, silver & gold, spices, sugar, tea, timber, tobacco, wheat, wine & spirits.

Global Commodities offers a rich selection of primary resources, including manuscripts, diaries, rare books, interactive maps, paintings, advertisements, company records. The resource includes price and energy data and the ability to create visualizations based on these data.
