PressReader Expands International News Options

The Libraries have recently begun a subscription to PressReader. PressReader presents current issues of newspapers and magazines in a full color, easy to navigate online display which attempts to recreate the experience of reading a print issue. The publications can be read on a browser or using the PressReader app for phone or tablet.

One of PressReader’s strengths is in international news coverage. This will supplement our subscription to Global NewsStream and greatly enhance the number of countries and titles from which Lafayette users can read current news.

There are two important things to know about using PressReader:

• PressReader is not an archive — issues are available for 90 days after their publication and are then removed.
• Articles and issues cannot be downloaded — however by creating a personal account users can save articles to a list to read later and/or print to PDF.
